The National Judicial Council has recommended Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun to be the next Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The recommendation was made at the NJC’s 106th meeting presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, who will formally bow out of office on August 22 having attained the mandatory retirement age of 70.
The closed-door meeting initially slated for Friday, August 16, was but brought forward to Thursday, August 15 in Abuja.
The NJC also made recommendations for 27 others as judges of the state high court in the meeting.
