Nigeria’s Secret Police, DSS Arrests Journalist Adejuwon Soyinka At Lagos Airport

Soyinka was arrested at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Sunday at 5:40 a.m., shortly after arriving from the United Kingdom on a Virgin Atlantic flight.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has detained a journalist and West African Regional Editor of The Conversation Africa, according to PREMIUM TIMES.

Soyinka was arrested at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Sunday at 5:40 a.m., shortly after arriving from the United Kingdom on a Virgin Atlantic flight.

The reason for his detention remains unclear.

Soyinka previously served as the Pioneer Editor of the BBC Pidgin Service.
