A Non-govermental Organization, Safe Future foundation is set to kick off annual grassroot education outreach in Ikoya, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The Executive Director of the non-governmental organization, Mr. Arogbo Sunday Ola gave the hint while interacting with press men shortly after a capacity building programme in Lagos.
According to him, he said, it is part of the plan of the organization to empower five thousand people in the year 2019.
He unveiled the success achieved so far by the non-governmental organization, Safe Future Foundation.
He said the empowerment programmes is not limited to entreprenurship and leadership training for over 750 youths from Okitipupa and Irele local goverments area of Ondo State.
Other programmes of the non-governmental organization is motivational talk coupled with distribution of educational support materials to over 2000 secondary schools students in Ondo State.
He added that their humanitarian activities also spread across to health awareness campaign and special welfare support.
“This year edition of Grassroot Education Support is targetted to cover Ikoya/Igbisin Oloto communities where over 400 primary school pupils will receive education support materials such as exercise books, literature materials, school bags and sandals”, he added.
The Executive Director of the NGO used the opportunity to appreciate all the donors and supporters of Safe Future initiatives and promise to raise up the bar of activities, programmes and projects to cover other parts of the country through viable collaboration with other humaniatrian organizations with and outside Nigeria.
“Our master plan is to work toward the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDG)”, he concluded.
