In Osogbo, Osun state, a newlywed lit her spouse on fire, killed him, and then committed suicide.
The woman, known only as Ife, believed her husband Bolu was cheating. As a result, she left an angry note on her WhatsApp stories, accusing Bolu of having “pushed her to the edge” and threatening that before dawn, people would weep over the two of them.
Bolu, who is a resident of Cairo but was in Nigeria on business, was set ablaze in his residence, killing him and destroying all of his possessions.
Ife was nowhere to be seen, therefore he was rushed to the hospital.
Ife has reportedly been discovered dead from what appears to be suicide.
Bolu also didn’t survive. He died as a result of the burns sustained from the fire.
