The Nasarawa State Government has announced an additional case of COVID-19 in the state.
Governor Abdullahi Sule disclosed this while briefing journalists on COVID-19 updates in the state on Tuesday.
He explained that the new case is a driver of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, who transported samples of persons believed to have been infected with COVID-19 in the state.
“The affected driver who lives in Ado village of Karu Local Government Area of the state has been relocated to COVID-19 Isolation Centre at the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi for treatment,” the governor added.
The PUNCH reports that the state government has so far confirmed no fewer than 12 cases of COVID-19 with one death.
