The National Assembly has transmitted the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill to the President for assent.
The bill was transmitted on Monday January 31 to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Arch. Olatunde Amos Ojo, a source told The Nation.
It is however uncertain if the President would assent to the reworked Bill.
This is coming amid report of Governors not being happy with the new amends, and planning to prevail on the President not to sign it.
