Peter Obi has taken a swipe at critics who accused him of having his children abroad. He admitted that his children are living abroad but he did not use any public money to train his children abroad.

He made this remark while speaking at the campaign in Jos on Wednesday. He made this statement to exempt himself from politicians who use public money to train their children abroad while the children of the masses are out of school as a result of the ASUU strike

“For 24 years, poverty has increased. Our children are not in school, they are squandering millions to send their children abroad.

“My children were born there, I came back to live in Nigeria for your sake. Anybody who tells you Peter’s children are outside. Yes they live there, I did not use public money to train my children, go and verify.”

“I was a governor in Anambra for 8 years, you can go and verify whether I stole their money”
