Three members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) have been detained by the Oyo Police Command for arresting Iskilu Wakili, alleged by the residents of Ibarapa to be responsible for the series of kidnappings and killings in the state.
GIOTV show host, Maureen Badejo confirmed that Wakili was arrested on Sunday by the OPC and other local security groups.
Wakili and his clan have been repeatedly blamed for various kidnappings and killings in the past and instead of giving kudos to the OPC members reverse is the case now as there was controversy in the state on Sunday after police allegedly detained three members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) for arresting a notorious kidnapper Iskilu Wakili.
Maureen is deeply furious about the action and she asked her viewers why arresting good citizens and releasing kidnappers?
She said that It was obvious that;
“Nobody touched Wakili, nobody hurt him, there is no traces of any hurt on him. He is an old man and they had promised the whole world that they won’t hurt them but they would arrest them for the whole world to see who Wakili is because all these while, he has been a faceless person, allegedly perpetuating these dastardly acts.
“OPC didn’t beat him or harm him. When they nabbed him, they put him inside a vehicle and handed him over to the police. Governor Seyi Makinde should forget about his second term he is just a senseless person that doesn’t know the meaning of a leader.”
She further added that getting YORUBA NATION is not by mere words, and all that Yorubas need now is UNITY.
