One person was burnt to death by hoodlums who invaded the office of the Anambra State Vigilante in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state.
The hoodlums, who have not been identified, were reported to have invaded the premises in large numbers at about 7am on Thursday, March 14.
They set fire to a vehicle belonging to the AVG operatives and a middle-aged man who was inside the vehicle.
A video shared online shows the vehicle burning, while eyewitnesses gathered at the scene, with a voice calling for the state fire service.
The reason for the attack has not been communicated yet.
The state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed that the attack took place, but said the full details were not available yet.
