Let’s Campaign With Facts And Stop Abusing Tinubu – Lagos CAN Chairman Adegbite Clarifies Statement Credited To Him

The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has clarified the trending statement allegedly credited to him that “God will punish us, if we don’t support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.

Speaking to GIOTV’s correspondent Isaac Obasi who called him to confirm the authenticity of the news, the clergyman said he never said such and was quoted out of contexts.

He said:

“You know your people. I told the public that Tinubu had not done anything wrong to the Church since l knew him and there is no reason for me to speak against him. He donated 5 plots of land to CAN in lkeja Returned schools to churches St. Gregory College, Holy Child College, Methodist Boys High School, Methodist Girls High school, Igbobi College, Baptist Academy, African Grammar school and others.

Adegbite further said:

“Tinubu is not a fanatic and a bigot and we should stop abusing him and campaign with facts and figures.”
