Lagos Fire Service Rescues Commuters Washed Away By Flood Inside A Car

The Lagos State Fire Service has said it has rescued passengers in a car that was washed away by flood during yesterday’s heavy downpour in the state.

This was made known by the Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs. Margaret Adeseye who confirmed that no live was lost and all those conveyed in the car where all doing well.

She tweeted:

“The public should be informed that the accura car eventually got trapped by 08:09hrs Saturday at Oyatoki Canal by Shoretire Street, Oko Oba-Agege, Lagos.

However, it was rescued by the Agege Fire Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service with all three adults male occupants in safe conditions.” She added.

There were conflicting reports on social media that night one of the passengers in the car had died in the water.
