Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the NNPP, has reacted to a statement Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the APC, made when he invited Rabiu Kwankwaso and his followers in NNPP to join the APC.

In an interview with Arise TV, Galadima alleged that after Ganduje seemingly followed Tinubu’s directive by inviting Kwankwaso to join the APC, Ganduje made a statement in Hausa. He said if one hears this statement, they would “pick race for Tinubu.” He said Ganduje allegedly asserted his dominance in the APC and stated in Hausa language that he was the boss of the party and anyone joining must relinquish their toga of being a leader in their parties. Galadima accused Ganduje of giving the appearance of following Tinubu’s directive while, in reality, doing the opposite.

In Galadima’s words: “You saw only that one in English, if you hear what Ganduje said in Hausa, you will pick race for Tinubu. If they explain to Tinubu what Ganduje said in Hausa when he said that ‘whoever comes to this party, I am the grandfather, I am the father, I am the boss so whoever is coming should leave his toga of being leader in another political party. Once you come here I am your boss’. Meaning that he is trying to hedge Kwankwaso also at the same time thinking that what the President has asked him to do he is doing it. Which is not true”.
