Kidnapped Kaduna First Class Traditional Ruler Regains Freedom

Gyet Maude, the kidnapped traditional ruler of Jaba Chiefdom in Kaduna State has regained his freedom.

GIOTV had reported that the 83-year-monarch Jaba Chiefdom was kidnapped on Monday, July 26, on his farm at Gitata community in Nasarawa State.

He was released by his abductors on Wednesday evening, July 28, after spending two days with his abductors who had demanded N100m ransom.

A source within the traditional council, Anthony Maude, told Channels Television that the monarch returned to his palace along with some of his aides. It is however not clear if any ransom was paid or if the royal father was rescued by security operatives.
