Iyiola Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun State, has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Omisore defected to the APC at his polling Unit, Ward 6 in Ile-Ife, Osun State, after which, he picked his membership card.
The former Deputy Governor had contested the 2018 governorship election on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
It was earlier reported that Omisore would be defecting to APC today.
Recall that Senator Omisore was also the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the 2014 Gubernatorial Election in the state.
In 2014, he was defeated by the candidate of the APC, Rauf Aregbesola and in 2018 he came a distant third behind Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP and the eventual winner, Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC.
