Brazil football legend Adriano has dusted off the reports of his death by making a sudden return to his dangerous home in Rio de Janeiro.

The 38-year-old was reported to have died, plunging the public into sadness but in a sudden turn of thing, he has now debunked the rumors saying he is hale and healthy.

Adriano had an impressive career in top clubs across Europe including Flamengo, Inter Milan, and Roma before hanging his boots in 2014.

The Selecao legend had an impressive 53 caps for Brazil, and his fabulous form was highly replicated in Pro Evolution Soccer 6, creating a fond memory of him in fans.

Amid reports that the 38-year-old is dead after returning to Reo de Janeiro’s danger zone, Adriano who returned to drinking after losing his father dusted off the rumors.

In a post on his social media account, the former Selecao star denied being dead, assuring his fans that he is alive in Brazil.

“Yes, yes, I’m alive. I’m alive, folks. I’m at home,” the former Flamengo forward known for his long-range left-footed strike said.

Adriano began his senior career at Brazilian giants Flamengo in 2000, before moving to Italian side Inter Milan in 2001.

He ended his career with spells at Flamengo, Roma and Corinthians between 2009 and 2012.

The retired striker once said he missed football, saying he always got emotional whenever:”my friends call me to watch Flamengo or Corinthians games and I decline. I miss it.
