Popular Nigerian musician, Davido has vowed to give more than N250m to orphanages across the nation this year.

He took to Twitter to make the pledge and wrote:

“We do it again this year on my birthday! We go bigger!! #WRBLO #BIG30,”

Recall that on November 17, 2021, a few days to his 29th birthday, the singer started a donation exercise conceived as a joke with his friends.

His fans also jumped on the occasion to express their love for him by sending in their donations.

The DMW boss asked friends to donate N1million each to a Wema Bank account.

He raked in N200million in 48 hours of activating the fundraising.

On the eve of his birthday on November 20, Davido decided to donate all the money plus an extra N50million as a birthday gift to orphanages across Nigeria.

He went on to set up a five-man committee to oversee the proper disbursement of the funds.

Prayers and applause rang out across the country for music super star David Adeleke following his donation of N250million to orphans.

The gesture fetched him the Humanitarian Award of the year at the 15th Headies Awards.
