Gitau Muthoni Gitau, a popular Kenyan content creator has stated that she doesn’t want to have kids.

Muthoni in a new video she shared, stated that while she looks forward to a glamorous wedding and a blissful union, she doesn’t want to have children, be a mother or even a step-mother. She disclosed that she just want to have cats and travel the world with her partner.

The socialite said;

“I see myself with a partner travelling the world and that end there.

“I don’t want to give birth, I don’t want to mother.. I even don’t want to be a step mum, the only mum I want to be is a cat mum.”

Muthoni said she made the decision at the age of 10, and her parents and family respect her decision since they feel they raised her well enough to make informed decisions.

Claiming that most women are not given an opportunity to choose if they want to indulge in motherhood, she insisted that it is a societal expectation.

According to her, most people cannot really give a reason why they need children except for legacy and family continuation.

Muthoni added;

“Women have been conditioned to serve men and are not allowed to choose what they really want in life. It’s okay to live, it’s okay to choose yourself.”

Commenting on talk show host Jeannie Mai revealing that she is pregnant with her first child, the Kenyan socialite said she totally relates with her since she did not bear kids in her first marriage of 10 years and only got pregnant a month after remarrying rapper Jeezy whom she termed as her soul mate.

Muthoni who stressed that the topic is very serious to her and she considers it as a first date conversation, stated that she hopes not to end up with a partner who will try to convince her otherwise.
