I Am Not Behind Distribution Of Rice — Tinubu

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has reacted to the viral video of images displaying his face on bags of rice being circulated in some states in the northern part of the county.

Information Nigeria recalls that videos went viral on social media showing bags of rice being distributed by some person in the north.

But, in a statement made available to journalists and signed by Tinubu’s media Aide, Tunde Rahman, in Lagos, Tinubu said he was not responsible for the initiative.

He said:
“We have seen the images being circulated of bags of rice depicting Asiwaju’s face being distributed across parts of the North.

“I am not responsible for this initiative but l commend the efforts of the various volunteer groups responsible for this benign act of charity and love for one another, particularly in this Holy month of Ramadan”.
