A two-day torrential rain has rendered hundreds of residents homeless and property worth millions of naira destroyed in Ayilamo town, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State. The rain began on Monday.
The rains, according to the kindred head of Mbagum, Ayilmo Zaki John Allah, who spoke to The Nation said, has resulted in the flooding of houses, farms, and markets.
Chief Allah said the rain which lasted two days submerged houses and washed away property worth millions of naira.
“For two days, no one in Ayilamo town ventured outside nor went to the farms as the rains pounded the entire community.
