Popular blogger, activist and GIOTV Show host Maureen Badejo has reacted on how Apostle Olawale Philip Ilesanmi, founder of Call of Salvation and Deliverance Ministries, US, along with gospel artiste Agboola Shadare, convinced Dr Rhoda to invest a large sum of money in Chromite business in South Africa, with a monthly return on investment, ROI, projected to be mouth-watering.
So far, Dr Rhoda Makinde, who is the wife of Abiola Peter Makinde, a Nigerian lawmaker representing the Ondo East/Ondo West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, has lost $100,000 (approximately N40 million in 2018) in the non-existent Chromite business deal introduced to her by the clergyman, Apostle Illesanmi and a gospel musician, Shadare.
Rhoda was told that the arrangement would pay her at least $70,000 per month and that the company would run for as long as feasible.
After getting swept away by the projected return on investment in the deal, Rhoda, who attends Ilesanmi’s church with Shadare, decided to finally put $100,000 into the pseudo business, thinking that it was authentic because it was introduced to her by two recognised pastors in her church.
However, after waiting over two years for a return on investment and a fresh update on the business’s fate and progress from Shadare and Ilesanmi, Rhoda got suspicious and decided to take the matter to court in order to recover the huge sums she had invested.
Maureen reached out to the so called gospel musician in person of Agboola Shadare over the issue and tried to interview him but her efforts proved abortive as he said the issue is private so he is not granting any interview.
Maureen asked if he collected any amount of money from Dr Rhoda? Shadare said: “I’M SORRY I CAN’T ANSWER ANY QUESTION”
Maureen Badejo admonished her viewers to be very careful with anyone they transact any business with.
