Tension and apprehension on Tuesday enveloped Gwagwalada Council Area of the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Abuja, following attempts by hoodlums to continue looting of Warehouses.
Reports in parts of the town indicate that all is not well as security operatives battled with hoodlums, shooting to disperse them from locations of warehouses for COVID 19 palliatives.
The operatives were seen shooting sporadically to disperse hoodlums who had gathered as early as 7 am in and around the warehouse looted on Monday, and another one suspected to be located near the Nigeria Customs Service Command Training College, Gwagwalada.
It was gathered that attempts by hoodlums to force their ways into the warehouses were resisted by security operatives, leading to clashes which resulted in people running for their lives.
The hoodlums who were later joined by residents carted away relief materials ranging from bags of rice, cartons of indomie noodles, spaghetti, Macaroni, bags of Urea fertilizer, Indorama products, brand new motorbikes, grinding machines, bags of salt, bags of Sugar, and cartoons of soaps, among others.
