Governor Makinde Joins NLC During Protest, Says Hardship Will Be Over Soon

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, February 27, joined labour unions and their affiliates in a peaceful protest where he assured the people that the current pains and hardship in the country would soon be over.

 

Makinde was present at the Total Garden Junction, Oritamefa, Ibadan, to address the protesters.

The governor who arrived while the Oyo NLC chairman, Comrade Kayode Martins was addressing the protesters, was well received by the protesters who hailed him as he made his presence known.

Speaking, Makinde said he was aware of the hardship in the country and the difficulty the people were going through. He promised that he would be part of the generation that would fix the country.

He said he had replied to the NLC national president, Comrade Joe Ajero, who claimed that no state in the country is paying wage awards to the workers.

Makinde also assured the workers that their letters of protest and complaints would be delivered to President Bola Tinubu.
