A High Court in Jos, Plateau State on Wednesday remanded five suspected kidnappers of a 10-year-old girl.
Justice Samson Gang of High Court VII gave the order after the suspects pleaded not guilty.
GIOTV reports that the five suspects, Felix Moses, Yahaya Abubakar, Sani Saleh, Anas Adam, and Sale Ya’u reportedly committed the offense on February 17, 2020.
Prosecution counsel Olaranwaju Osho told the court that the suspects conspired to kidnap the minor in her father’s house at Rafiki Dutse Kura in Bassa Local Government Area of the state.
Osho said the suspects “did commit an illegal act to wit, criminal conspiracy, when agreed among yourselves while armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, forcefully entered the residence of one Aofolaju and kidnapped his 10-year-old girl on February 17, 2020.”
