An inferno has gutted a popular multi-shop supermarket in Numan, the headquarters of Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
It was gathered that the fire which destroyed virtually everything in all the seven shops of the IFY Super Market, occurred on Wednesday, causing losses running into millions for the victims.
Some of the victims lamented that they had become desolate after they lost all they had.
The Chairman of, the Numan Local Government Council, Christopher Sofore, appealed for the government’s help to cushion the effect of the fire outbreak on the victims.
The state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, and the House of Representatives member from the area, Kwamoti Laori, who visited the scene, said the losses were indeed huge.
Farauta, who was on a sympathy visit, said the state government shared in their sorrow.
