FG To auction Some Govt-Owned Properties To Fund 2021 Budget

The Federal government says it would sell off some  government-possessed properties just as non-oil assets to reserve the 2021 financial plan.

The Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, revealed this during the spending introduction service which was done essentially on Tuesday, January 12.

As per her spending introduction named ‘Public Presentation of 2021 FGN Approved Budget – Breakdown and Highlights’ which has been shared on the web, the income produced from the offer of these resources will be utilized to finance the shortage of the financial plan.

The archive anyway didn’t express the resources for being sold, neither did it express the normal income from the deals

In November 2020, the Bureau of Public Enterprise in an archive introduced to the Senate panel on Privatization revealed that the Federal government intends to sell the Integrated Power Plants in Geregu, Omotosho, and Calabar at N434 billion every 2021.

The archive introduced indicated plans by the Federal government to likewise concession the National Arts Theater, Tafawa Balewa Square, and all the River Basin Development Authorities at N836 million while the National Stadium in Lagos, the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, and two others were fixed for concessioning at N100 million.

President Buhari had on December 31, 2020, marked the N13.58 trillion financial plan for 2021.
