The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested 17 suspected internet fraudsters in Makurdi, the capital of Benue.
A statement on Sunday by EFCC Head of Media, Wilson Uwujaren, said they were nabbed following actionable intelligence.
The suspects are Emmanuel Victor, Joseph Adoyr Ameh, Olamide Timothy, Augustine Adalache, Izuka Justin, Boniface Dudoo, Udechukwu Benedict, Emmanuel Igbo.
Others are Emmanuel Ikechukwu, Agbo Lawrence, Favour Nwokdi, Christian Nwgia, George Maaki, Yina Terseem, Wilson Egwoba, Isaac Ukange, and Precious Tseaa.
Items recovered by EFCC operatives include mobile phones, ATM cards, laptops, Lexus RX330, and Toyota Camry cars.
Uwujaren disclosed that the suspects had made useful statements and would be charged in court soon.
