American rapper Kanye West has made startling claims regarding his colleague Drake, saying that the Canadian artist has made a pact with ‘the devil’.

Kanye West asserted that their fallout stems from Drake’s alleged allegiance to forces contrary to God, which West himself represents.

According to West, his decision to lend his vocals to Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That’ remix was fueled by his excitement over what he perceives as the impending “elimination” of Drake from the hip-hop industry.

Speaking on the latest episode of ‘The Download’ podcast, Kanye West said, “It’s like he [Drake] signed his soul to the devil to not be cool with me. This is his job, to go against God.

“Pluto [Future] called me, I went to the studio and laid that [my verse on the remix]. Everybody was very, very excited about the elimination of Drake. Not excited — we was energized.”

He claimed that Drake has a “rich baby daddy” in the person of the CEO of Universal Music, Lucian Grainge who influenced his commercial success.

“Drake has a rich baby daddy, named Lucian [Grainge] and Universal. He’s like, my daddy control the spins, my daddy got the DSPs,” West said.
