Detained Journalist PIDOMNigeria Finally Charged To Court After 28 Days In Custody

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has finally filed charges against Isaac Bristol, aka PIDOM, the journalist who was detained for 28 days over allegations of being a “leak journalist”.

According to court documents obtained by FIJ, PIDOM was charged to the Federal High Court, Abuja on a six-count charge. The charges come after weeks of detention, sparking concerns about press freedom and the treatment of journalists in Nigeria.

PIDOM’s case has drawn widespread attention, with many calling for his release and an end to the harassment of journalists. The charges filed against him will be closely watched as his case proceeds through the courts.
