Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire has assured Nigerians that there are enough doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to go around.
Ehanire made this known on Friday at the launch of COVID-19 vaccination programme at the National Hospital, Abuja.
The minister expressed that eligible Nigerians will get vaccinated when due.
He also added that non-eligible groups will have to “respectfully await” their turn.
Ehanire said persons under 18 years and pregnant women are not eligible for vaccination at the moment, adding that there is no scientific assessment yet to guarantee the safety of the vaccines for them.
