Three Coronavirus patients have been discharged in Kano state after recovering from the disease.
Coordinator of the Technical Response Team on COVID-19, Dr. Tijjani Hussain confirmed this during the daily briefing of the state task force on Tuesday, May 5.
He said the patients were discharged after testing negative twice for the virus, in line with the Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control(NCDC) directive.
The Chairman of Kano state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Dr. Sanusi Mohammed Bala has also confirmed the death of a doctor. Bala who said the doctor died from Coronavirus complication, also revealed that 30 doctors in the state have been infected with the virus.
He said most of the affected doctors contracted the virus in medical wards while attending to patients who presented different complications that later turned to be COVID-19 related.
