COVID-19: Kano State Testing Center Reopened

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has reopened the testing center in Kano.

The testing center suspended operation on April 22 after it ran out of testing kits.

Nigerians have since queried the continuous suspension of COVID-19 testing in the state which has recorded many mysterious deaths. 

NCDC Director-General, Chikwe Ihekwazu announced the reopening of the testing center on his Twitter handles this afternoon.

”Thanks to incredible efforts of a joint Team from @NCDCgov @KNSMOH  @aminukanoth  & our partners, the #COVID19 lab at AKTH, Kano is back up & testing has resumed The 2nd lab at Bayero University Kano will be activated tomorrow Not where we want to be yet, but will #keeppushing”.
