Nigerians on social media woke up to the disturbing news that the first case of the coronavirus has been recorded in the country, several weeks after other countries have had cases of the virus.
Shortly after the news was made public by the Federal Ministry of Health, a Nigerian man on social media identified as Olugbega Bodunrin(@boldjohnson07), has come out to make claims that he was the cab driver that conveyed the Italian citizen who was infected with the virus.
The individual had responded to a post shared on the official Twitter page of The Guardian, which made it known that the Nigerian government has started working to identify everyone that came in contact with the Italian.
