Nicholas Tofowomo, the Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, on Sunday at Ileoluji, congratulated all the newly elected local government Executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) across the 18 Local Governments of Ondo State.

In a statement made available to GIO TV correspondent by his media aide Pastor Akinrinlola Olumide, Senator Tofowomo says the peaceful conduct of the PDP congresses across the State has established the fact that the party is a pacesetter when it comes to internal democracy not only in Ondo State but Nigeria at large.

“I congratulate all the newly elected local government executive members of our party across the 18 Local Governments of Ondo State. Let me also congratulate the leadership of the party for the success recorded in electing all the Local Government Executives of our party without crisis.”

“Our party, PDP, is a pacesetter when it comes to internal democracy; and this is not only peculiar to PDP in Ondo State, but a unique attribute of our party in Nigeria at large,” he said.

He, however, charged the new executives of the PDP to hold onto the unity of the party, speaks positively at all time and avoid anything that could undermine the unity of the party ahead of the October 10 governorship election in Ondo State.
