Brother Of Senegal President Tests Positive For Coronavirus

The brother of Senegalese president, Macky Sall has announced that he has tested positive for Coronavirus.

Aliou Sarr, who is the mayor of Guédiawaye revealed in a statement that he tested positive for the disease on Tuesday, and is being treated at the Dalal Diamm hospital in Dakar.

The statement read: “Dear compatriots, Dear fellow mayors, Dear colleagues of the COVID follow-up committee, friends and relatives when I send you this message I am in Dalal Diam hospital where I have just been interned. I have undergone, in fact, a positive COVID income test this Tuesday, May 26, 2020. I ask your prayers to Allah SWT for a speedy recovery of all patients of the COVID. I thank the team of Dalal Diam Hospital for their thoroughness and professionalism.”

Senegal has so far recorded 3,161 cases of coronavirus with 36 deaths.
