A tanker of gas has exploded this afternoon, September 24, 2020 at Iju Ishaga area of Lagos state with over 50 persons reportedly injured.
Reports from eyewitnesses said several houses were shaken by the explosion, which damaged vehicles parked on some streets.
Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident.
He said efforts are being made by his men to put out the resulting fire from the explosion with support from the Lagos State Fire Service, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
