The All Progressives Congress chieftain, Bola Tinubu, has submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms for the party’s presidential primary, according to The PUNCH.
Tinubu delivered the forms to the party on Wednesday at Abuja’s International Conference Centre.
He was represented by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and Nuhu Ribadu, a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
According to the PUNCH, Tinubu secured the support of 370 delegates from across the country to complete the submission of his presidential forms.
As previously reported, the ruling party required presidential aspirants to submit their expressions of interest and nomination forms with the signatures of 10 statutory delegates from each state and the Federal Capital Territory.
Each aspirant was required to obtain the signatures of 370 statutory delegates, representing the 36 states of the union and the Federal Capital Territory, according to our correspondent who saw the forms.
Tinubu was reportedly the first of 28 APC presidential candidates to submit their nomination papers.
