Two new cases of the COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in Ondo state.
The cases confirmed today are the 17th and 18th cases of the global pandemic in the state.
The state commissioner for health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro who confirmed the report, explained that the patients were from Lagos and Sokoto states.
However, the state Commissioner for information, Donald Ojogo had yesterday confirmed the treatment and discharging of five more COVID-19 patients.
According to Ojogo, the treated and discharged patients of the viral infection have become eleven.
As at today, only six active cases are being monitored in accordance with prescribed globally-accepted protocols at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Akure, the state capital.
