BREAKING: Nigerian Government Declares Monday As Public Holiday

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday May 3, as public holiday to mark the 2021 International Workers’ Day Celebration.

Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola congratulated Nigerian workers for witnessing this year’s celebration.

In a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Shuaib Belgore, the minister hailed civil servants for their patience, understanding and support.

Aregbesola commended them for driving the policies of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration “in its determination to move the country to the next level of socio-economic development”.

The minister called for more dedication and patriotism, assuring that the current challenges will soon be over.

Aregbesola stresses that government is putting all strategies in place to curb the insecurity in Nigeria.

“I call on the Labour force and all patriotic citizens to be fully committed to the task of putting insecurity to a permanent end as much as possible,” the statement added.
