Boko Haram members have reportedly stolen five tractors and burnt down two others in Ngelbuwa, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The insurgents were said to have invaded the town and forcefully ordered a resident to show them the houses of the tractor drivers.
Chairman of North East Commodity Association (NECAS), Yobe State chapter, Nuhu Baba Hassan, confirmed the attack saying that three tractors belonging to NECAS Borno and Yobe state offices were affected by the attack.
Hassan said a tractor under his custody was snatched from its driver at gunpoint.
Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Buni Yadi, Bitrus Mamuda Saleh also confirmed the attack. Saleh said Muhammad Mustapha, Chairman of Borno State chapter NECAS reported that suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked their tractor drivers at Ngelbuwa village in Gujba, and took away four tractors belonging to the Borno State government.
The insurgents also set ablaze two NECAS tractors.
