Black Panther 2: Burna Boy, Tems, Other Nigerian Singers Feature On Film’s Soundtrack

Nigerian singers have been making waves around the world in recent times and this has caused serious excitement among fans.

The upcoming Marvel movie Black Panther 2 has released its forthcoming soundtrack with a few prominent Nigerian artistes on its list.

The movie’s soundtrack which is set to be released on the 10th of November features Nigerian artistes like Burna boy, Fireboy DML, CKay, Rema, and Tems.

Other African artistes on the list include DBN Gogo, Busiswa, Kamo Mphela, Sino Msolo, Young Stunna, and a few others.

Among the song titles from Nigerian artistes are “Alone” by Burna Boy; a cover of Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry” by Tems; Anya Mmiri” by CKay, and PinkPantheress; and “Pantera” by Alemán featuring Rema.

The Marvel series had earlier released a soundtrack for Black Panther 1 in 2018, a project which was tasked to Kendrick Lamar featuring songs like “All the Stars” with SZA; “X” with 2 Chainz and Schoolboy Q; “Pray for Me,” which featured The Weeknd; and a few other songs.

A soundtrack that attained two grammy awards for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, as well as Best Rap Performance for the song “King’s Dead”.

During an interview with Rolling stones, singer Ckay explained how he was honoured to be a part of the music project and how his little self would be proud of him, he said; “Working with Ludwig Göransson, P.Priime and Pink Pantheress on ‘Anya Mmiri’ in Lagos, Nigeria was a pleasure. From being a kid watching Marvel movies and reading comic books, to being a part of one with my music is a dream come true. Baby CKay would be very proud of me”.
