Unidentified people have reportedly strangulated a pub owner, popularly called Iya Bisola, operating in Ikirun, Osun State.

The details of the incident cannot be immediately ascertain, but security sources said the corpse of the deceased was found in her house located around Oke Glo Area in Ikirun.

Some residents of Oke Glo that spoke on the incident but craved anonymity expressed shock, noting that the corpse of the deceased was evacuated by the police after she was found dead in her room with marks of violence around her neck, suggesting that she may have been strangulated.

A resident, who preferred to be identified as Jide, said since Iya Bisola’s business premises located along Station Road, Ikirun, is not close to her residence, people in the neighborhood of Oke Glo where she lived hardly see her, as she usually spends evening time attending to her customers.

Demanding diligent investigation into the matter, he also called for reinforcement of security within Ikirun metropolis to prevent crime.

However, the public relations officer of Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kehinde Adeleke, during an interview with Punch, said officer of the command visited the scene before the corpse was evacuated.
