Babcock University has confirmed that its website was hacked by criminal elements threatening to leak sensitive information.
The hacker had released a statement, recounting how he had alerted the school in the past about some loopholes in their website.
The hacker who disclosed that he is now in possession of personal details of students, parents and guardians, alumni, bank details, card details, and addresses, revealed that the website was not protected and even when the school’s security engineers worked on the last alert he issued, they didn’t change the passwords.
He further threatened to leak all he has in his possession unless his demands are met.
The school which has now confirmed that its website was hacked. It also debunked claim of the hacker being in possession of some personal information.
