Scores of youths and students in Ibadan, Oyo State have staged another protest against the lingering scarcity of naira notes and petroleum.

The Monday morning protest took off from the front gate of the University of Ibadan on Monday.

The protesters said they staged the protest to express their dissatisfaction over the lingering scarcity of naira notes and petroleum in the country.

It was reported that the protesters blocked the institution’s gate, resulting in heavy traffic along the University of Ibadan – Ojoo road for some hours.

The band of protesters moved from UI to Sango, Mokola, and Bodija. They were being guarded by some security agents to prevent a breakdown of law and order.
