Akeredolu Cancels Democracy Day Celebration In Ondo Over Owo Church Massacre

Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu has canceled Democracy Day celebration in Ondo state following the terrorist attack at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, last Sunday.

This was conveyed in a statement shared on Saturday, June 11, ahead of the celebration on June  12.

It read;

“In honor of the victims of the terror attack at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, the Ondo State Government has canceled this year’s June 12 celebration.

“The cancelation is to enable the people of Ondo State to mourn their loved ones who lost their lives in the horrific attack.”
