Armed men suspected to be kidnappers have again abducted at least eight persons in Owukpa community, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was gathered that the incident, which occured on Sunday evening along the Atamka-Ugbugbu road, has triggered palpable tension in the area.
The victims, identified as Onyechi Onuh, John Ameh, Agnes Ikwuta and four others, were ambushed by the assailants while they were returning from a local market in Ahor-Ogbo.
The community’s National Chairman, Igoche Anthony, confirmed the unfortunate incident to AFRIPOST on Monday morning.
He assured that efforts were on to ensure Ugbugbu and other adjoining communities are completely free from the incessant attacks by the criminal elements.
