Nigerians are mercilessly dragging Nollywood actor turned clergyman, Yul Edochie over his failed prophecy on the AFCON final.

reported that hours before the match, Yul had predicted that the match would favor Nigerians as he revealed that the game would not get to a penalty shootout.

According to him, Nigerians will defeat Ivory Coast comfortably.

“Today’s game will not get to a penalty shootout. Nigeria will defeat Ivory Coast comfortably”.

Unfortunately, his prediction didn’t come to pass as Nigerians lost to Ivory Coast 2-1.

Yul had taken to his Instagram page to appreciate the Super Eagles as he stated that getting to the finals is as good as winning.

Expressing pride in them, he applauded them for their great performance.

“It is well.
Thank you, Super Eagles.
Getting to the finals is as good as winning.
We’re proud of you all.
Great performance in the tournament”.
