Mr. Godwin Aigbogun, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ward 9, Orhionmwon Local Government of Edo State, has escaped from his kidnappers’ den.

The kidnappers were said to have demanded N5 million ransom from his family for his release, but he was able to escape without ransom payment.

Aigbogun was kidnapped on Monday, July 18, while on his way back from his farm in Ologbo-nugu.

Edo state publicity secretary of APC, Peter Uwadiae confirmed the development

“He escaped out of sheer bravery, he was able to maneuver his way out of their den. That is what I have gathered from the people in the community.

“Although I haven’t been able to speak with him directly, the latest news we got this morning is that he has escaped from the kidnapper’s den without any ransom.”
