61-year-old actress Mary Mara drowns in a river
The New York State Police has confirmed that Mary Mara, a 61-year-old Hollywood actress, drowned while swimming in the St. Lawrence River.
The actress from “Ray Donovan” was found early on Sunday, June 26, at Cape Vincent.
Around 8 AM, troopers responded to a report of a suspected drowning in the river; when they arrived, they discovered her dead in the water.
According to officials, she had been visiting her sister when she went into the River to get some exercise.
There were no indications of wrongdoing in the early investigation.
The Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office received her body to conduct an autopsy.Mary Mara appeared in 20 movies and 40 TV shows, including ER, NYPD Blue, Law and Order and Lost. She also starred in Mr. Saturday Night, The Hard Way, and Love Potion #9.
