Three children of a family died yesterday in a domestic fire at Ugwu Chelekwu village in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State. Chimankpan Aduhuba (5 years), Munachimso Aduhuba (2 years) and Kamsiyochi Aduhuba (2 months) sustained burns in the house fire and later died.
Police spokesman, SP Haruna Mohammed, said following a distress call, a police patrol team led by the DPO Okija Division rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area while the fire was put out by volunteers before the arrival of firefighters. The Commissioner of Police, John B.Abang, has ordered an investigation into the incident.
