Damaturu, Yobe State – A shocking case of greed and betrayal has unfolded in Yobe State, where 24-year-old Yunusa Isa brutally murdered his business partner, Lawan Adamu, 28, to avoid repaying a N500,000 loan.
The gruesome crime occurred on September 15, 2024, at the outskirts of Nayi Nawa bypass in Damaturu.
According to the police spokesperson, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, Isa initially denied involvement but confessed during intense interrogation.
“Isa and Adamu were partners in the engine oil trade. Isa borrowed N500,000 from Adamu last year, but when he failed to repay, Adamu demanded reimbursement. In a chilling act, Isa murdered Adamu to avoid repayment,” Abdulkarim stated.
